Paul Dossin Obituary

Chief Warrant Officer 5 Paul F. Dossin, United States Marine Corps (Retired), took his final cruise to heaven on Aug. 30. He proudly and honorably wore the cloth of our nation for over 30 years. Paul passed away peacefully and with dignity with his wife and son at his side.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 44 years, Major General Mary Ann Krusa-Dossin, his wonderful and devoted son, Michael, daughters Jennifer and Julie and several grandchildren.
Paul was a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League and, for the past 13 years, he organized the annual Marine Corps League Golf tournament in support of community events/Toys for Tots in Nassau County. This was a labor of love, which he willingly took on because he knew it helped our Nassau County families in need.
Paul loved our country and also loved to see the American flag flying in as many front yards as possible throughout our community. He facilitated this effort by installing flag poles himself and frequently replaced tattered/faded flags.
Following his retirement, Paul quickly learned to love cruising with family and friends, leaving everyone with many happy memories.
Per his request, there will be no formal service. We will instead celebrate his life at the annual Marine Corps League Golf Tournament in October.
Should you desire, donations in memory of Paul to the Nassau County Toys for Tots program or to The Marine Corps League will be gladly accepted.

Greetings, I just learned of PAUL's passing from the USMC Retirement Magazine. I first met him at a mega firefighting conference in Cincinnati, OH in the mid-80s. I was then with him at MWSS-371 at MCAS Yuma AZ. I just sent my youngest off to MCRD Parris Island SC and he will become...a Crash, Fire and Rescue Marine! Jest like Paul! My condolences to MGen KRUSA-DOSSIN and their son.

I knew CWO 5 Dossin from Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, AZ. In fact, I knew his wife better, having worked closely with thr Provost Marshals Office. My condolences to the family and friends. May he rest in peace. I'm sure I'll see him again on the Streets of Heaven.

Paul was a Marine's Marine. He was a one heck of a mentor to many of us younger Warrant Officers at the time. My condolences to wife and family and friends. Semper Fidelis.

I'll always remember the "commando crawl" he did, trying to sneak up on me when we all cruised together :) And his comments to me at the ugly Christmas Sweater party as well. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. May God's peace enfold you through this difficult time and the wonderful memories comfort you through the years.
