Leominster

Robert J. Doiron, 81 of Leominster, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 23, 2023 surrounded by his loving family, at Life Care Center in Leominster.

Robert was born on November 2, 1941, in Acadieville, New Brunswick, Canada, to the late Francis Doiron and Cecilia (Vautour) Doiron.

He worked at Haartz Corporation in Acton, Massachusetts for many years.

Robert was a devout parishioner of St. Cecilia's Church.

For Robert, being with his family was everything. He enjoyed every moment with them. He also enjoyed playing softball, where he was known as "Bullet Bob", fishing, golfing, bowling, traveling and trips to the casino. He also loved doing work around his yard.

Robert leaves his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Fernande (Bastarache), a son Daniel, his wife Suzanne, a grandson, Derek, his wife, Taylor, and a great granddaughter, Adelyn, who brought him so much joy, all of Leominster.

Robert also leaves two brothers, Claude, his wife Eleanor, and Emile, his wife Rose-Mai, both of Leominster, a sister Denise Richard, of Quebec, Canada and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Life Care Center and for their compassion and care while Robert was there and to the nurses of UMASS Memorial Home & Healthcare Hospice for their compassion, comfort and care for Robert in his final days.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on November 3, 2023 at 11am at St. Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic Street, Leominster. Burial will follow at St. Cecilia's Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
