Norman Bentley Obituary

HURON - Norman A. Bentley Sr., 93, of Huron, passed away Sunday, October 06, 2024, at Wayne County Nursing Home.

He was born in Lyndonville, NY, son of the late Louis Bentley, and the late Frances Young Bentley. He graduated from Lyndonville High School, 1949. He was in the US Navy 1952-1956. He married his wife, Virginia F. Younglove Bentley in 1957. Norm held numerous jobs in agriculture.He was a 40 year member of the North Rose Lions Club, participated in Boy Scouts of America as a leader for many years, and member of Free and Accepted Masons of North Rose Lodge and was past master of the lodge, was a past member of the North Rose Fire Department and was commissioner for 15 years, and was a member of the Huron Presbyterian Church for over 40 years.

He is predeceased by his wife, Virginia Bentley; and son, Chris Lee Bentley.

Survived by his daughter, Corinne Bentley; sons: Norman (Carol) Bentley Jr., Daryl (Kelly) Bentley, Faye (Shelly) Bentley; sister, Penny Wirth; and half brother, Blaine Wirth; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Friday (October 11) 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, North Rose, with a funeral service at 12:00 p.m., burial to follow in Huron Evergreen Cemetery.
