Ronnie Smith Obituary

Ronnie Smith, born on December 14, 1957 to Ray and Annie Lavania Smith (Ely), left us on January 18, 2025. He was a devoted member of the trucking community, having dedicated a significant part of his career to driving for JB Hunt, where he proudly received a ring for his achievements.

Ronnie was known not only for his commitment to his work but also for his vibrant personality. A natural comedian, he had a remarkable ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him. His warm spirit was complemented by an unyielding generosity; he was always willing to lend a hand to others and found it difficult to refuse anyone in need.

Family and friends will fondly remember Ronnie for his love of the outdoors. He found great joy in fishing and hunting, and he cherished every moment spent in nature. His passion for crafts also shone through in his creative endeavors, where he often surprised loved ones with his imaginative projects. Notably, during the festive season, he brought smiles to many by making and selling Christmas trees around town.

Ronnie loved to cook out and frequently invited family to join him for meals, creating precious memories over shared laughter and delicious food. His legacy of warmth, creativity, and humor will surely live on in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him. His life was a testament to the joy of giving and the importance of bringing people together, making Ronnie a treasured friend and family member to all who crossed his path.

He is preceded in death by his siblings, David Smith, Larry Smith, Martha Smith, Mark Smith.
