Byron Anthony Washington, 69, peacefully answered the call to be with the Lord on September 9, 2025. Born on May 30, 1956, Byron’s life was a testament to unwavering determination and deep faith.
A man of profound conviction and passionate spirit, Byron faced every day with courage and resolve. His complexity of character inspired those around him, as he stood firmly for his beliefs and lived each day with purpose. Yet, above all else, Byron’s heart belonged to his family. He embraced his roles as a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished brother with boundless love and dedication.
Byron is lovingly remembered by his wife, Gisele; his children, Constance (Chris), Adele (Jeremy), and Meagan; his sister, Myron; and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, colleagues, coworkers, and neighbors whose lives he touched deeply. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Clifton and Anna Mae Washington.
A celebration of Byron’s remarkable life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 1401 Fidelity Street, Houston, TX 77029. The day will begin with a viewing and rosary from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by Mass. Burial will take place afterward at Paradise Funeral Home & Cemetery North, 10401 W Montgomery Rd., Houston, TX 77088.
Though Byron’s earthly journey has ended, his enduring legacy of strength, faith, and love will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Over forty years ago, I lived on the same street down from the Washingtons in Pine Trails. During a Christmas season, I got the bright idea to put lights up on my roof. I borrowed a ladder from my neighbor and once I reached the roof, I froze. Hanging on for dear life, my son ran down the street, saw Byron and crying begged him to come help his mommy down. Of course, Byron responded and I got down safely. Thirty + years later, we met again as he walked through our neighborhood in Woodforest. We along with a number of other neighborhood walkers have enjoyed many conversations, shared opinions and viewpoints. He always claimed to be on my side regarding an opinion. However, once I leave him and my Hubby, they team up against me. Rest in Peace my friend. My husband, Cicero and I are covering the family with our Prayers!

Prayers and condolences to his family and friends. I will surely miss Byron on his daily walks. By the time he passed my house, he would always say "I'm good now. I can see the back of my house." On today, he can see the face of God. He's home now!

We first met him as" Mr Byron", a neighbor our granddaughter dearly loved. He was always kind, welcoming and friendly on our occasional visits to our daughter, his next door neighbor.. We always enjoyed our conversations with him and offer our deepest sympathy to his family.

In 2002 Byron welcomed me to XOM with open arms, smiles and more importantly guidance. Getting to know him was a pleasure and a hoot. I learned a lot from him over the years, and we continued to remain in contact long after his retirement. Byron religiously attended my family functions and cheered my kids on as if they were his own. Byron even made it a point to annually support Our Mother of Mercy, Easter Sunday Rodeo. He brought smiles and laughter to our function for several years. I'm truly going to miss his guidance and leadership for he was a big brother from another mother. Rest easy my nearly birthday twin (May 29th/30th). You will remain in my thoughts, and your family will remain in my prayers.

The Byron A. Washington Family,
In remembering my Pleasantville & high school friend; whenever we saw each other, we would greet one another with smiles, hugs & a handshake. Jokingly, Byron would comment about "...how old we've gotten but still look good...". It was always a pleasure to see him wherever we were.
Praying that the Washington family will be blessed with memories filled with comfort & special blessings in honor of his Homegoing.

My sincere condolences to the entire Washington family. Byron was a true friend, Church, KPC brother I will truly miss. We laugh, we talk, argue and still kept it moving. I will miss those phone calls with him saying Marie let me tell you what happen. I would tell him I would not worry about any of that. He spoke about his girls all of the time. Constance he wanted you back in KPC and Directing the choir and using your voice for the Lord. Take baby steps. Meagan he wanted you to come back home. I told him she will be okay. When she is ready she will make the move. Adelle he loved your care for others.
