Harold Conway Obituary

May God give the family strength and peace during this dark hour. Mr. C was my supervisor for many years at HUD. He was a kind and fair man, always looking out for his staff. I am sadden by his passing. He will be missed in the flesh, but alive in memory. God bless

May God's comfort and peace be yours in abundance as you remember the life of Deacon Conway. He was a faithful servant, patriot, friend and mentor to so many throughout his community and country. Praying for God's continued blessings and strength during this difficult time.

My wife and I are indeed saddened to hear of the passing of Bro. Conway. He and his wife Ethel were the first to extend hospitality to us when we located to Fredericksburg and joined Shiloh(Old Site) Baptist Church. They opened their home to us for dinner and we became close friends and dined out together many times. We continued our friendship through the years. Harold was a kind, mild mannered, and gentle spoken individual who served with distinction as a deacon. Bro. Conway had a great since of humor and was a great conversationist.. Bro. Conway was a great scholar who was very interested in genealogical studies, He researched and published a book about his family's genealogy. We were given a signed copy of the book, which we will always treasure. To his dear wife Ethel, be encouraged. May God send angels to bring you peace and comfort. Rest from your labors Bro. Harold.
