Richard Joseph Vasina, 89, lifetime resident of Colon, NE, entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Saunders Medical Center LTC in Wahoo, NE. Richard was born in Colon, NE, on December 20, 1934, to Anton F. and Mary T. (Vybiral) Vasina.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Vasina; parents; brother and sister-in-law: Anthony and Doris Vasina; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Frank Warfield; brother, Howard Vasina; and nephew, Kevin Vasina.
He is survived by his son, Rick Vasina, of Colon; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Virgil Blum; granddaughter, Christina Blum, of Queens Creek, AZ; sister-in-law, Dorothea Vasina; many nieces, nephews, relatives and beloved friends that all meant so much to him.
Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday December 10, 2024 at 10 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 111 Cherry St., Colon, NE.
Visitation, Monday December 9, 2024 5 to 7 p.m., with 7 p.m., Knights of Columbus Rosary all at Church.
Interment with military honors at St. Francis Cemetery, Wahoo, NE.
Memorials in care of the family for future designation.
