Maxine Pedersen Obituary

Maxine Nan Pedersen, age 72, of South Bend, Indiana, (formerly Norton Shores), passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana. She was born on November 5, 1952, in Muskegon, Michigan, to the late Alfred and Priscilla (Casemier) Pedersen.

Maxine graduated from Mona Shores High School and then from Muskegon Business School. She worked in food service for many years and attended Christ the King Lutheran Church in South Bend. Maxine enjoyed playing Bingo and card games, working on needlepoint, and crafting. She also was a collector of Mickey Mouse memorabilia.

Maxine will be lovingly remembered and missed by her sister, Marilyn (Tim) Diemer of Elkhart, Indiana; her niece, Laura (Ronald) Hirsch; great-niece and great-nephew, and Alexandra and Rowan Hirsch; as well as an aunt, Pat Wolffis; and many cousins.

The Funeral Service for Maxine will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Davick officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Norton Shores Cemetery.
