Connie Christensen

Connie L. Wise Christensen, 72, died peacefully on May 22, 2018 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Chubbuck, ID.
Connie was born in Malad, ID to Velmar and Veda Wise on June 2, 1945. She worked at Jack's Café in Downey, as a switchboard operator at the Bannock County Courthouse, and as a foodservice worker with School District #25. Connie enjoyed walking, camping, and spending time with her family.
Connie is preceded in death by her parents, Velmar and Veda Wise, her brother Don (Mardell) Wise, and two sisters: Hazel (Dale)Nielsen and Jean (Keith) Utley. She is survived by her husband James Christensen of Pocatello; brother Fred (Bonnie) Wise of Chubbuck; two sisters Darlene (Don) Schlange of Ogden, UT and Arlene (Jerry) Parris of Chubbuck; son Kevin (Debbonnee) Wise of Keizer, OR, step-son James Christensen of Bountiful, UT; and granddaughter Nicolette Wise.
A special thank you to Brookdale Assisted Living, Encompass Hospice, and Dr. Travis Nielsen for the wonderful care in her final days.
A celebration of life service will be held at Wilks Funeral Home on Saturday June 2, 2018 at 2 p.m. There will be a visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
We will all miss the weekly phone calls, updates on the accomplishments of family members, and candy, cookies, or soda when visiting her home.

Dear Jim and family,
Know that my heart is with you on this day to remember a very special lady. The picture of her is that of a vibrant, fun loving beautiful women as she should be remembered.
I had picked out a politically incorrect birthday card weeks back to send her today but I hope she is reading it over my shoulder, laughing hysterically and giving me hell. I will miss our special bond.
Kevin and Nicolette, every time we spoke she would always share your accomplishments and was extremely proud of you and loved you very much.
I will miss Connie so much. My best always.
