Colton Brant Obituary

Colton R. Brant

August 28, 1995 - November 1, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, nephew, and friend, Colton Ray Brant, who left us too soon at the age of 29, on November 1, 2024.

Born on August 28, 1995, in Lebanon, OR, Colton arrived as an 11lb 3.5oz baby! The 23" long baby grew into a giant of a man with an equally sized heart. He was known for his warm spirit, his love for Chevy trucks, and his passion for life. He lived each day with kindness, humor, and dedication to the people he loved.

Colton was deeply rooted in his community and will be remembered by countless friends and family members who cherished his friendship and presence. Whether it was on the football field, tuna fishing 50 miles out on the Pacific Ocean, hunting in the woods of Wyoming or the Snake River, or in the shop working on trucks, Colton was happiest surrounded by those who shared his passions. He found joy in fixing up Chevy trucks and took pride in his work, bringing life to each project with dedication and skill.

Colton's memory will be forever cherished by his loving family and the many friends who were family to him. His legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will continue to inspire all who knew him. His loss leaves a void that can never be filled, but his spirit will forever be a part of each of us.

Colton is survived by his parents: Corinda and Casey Stubbs, and Michael and Kellie Brant; his brother, Casey Brant (Anna Volk,) and nephew, Easton; his brother, Layne Newman; and sister, Raylee Brant; brother, Bryce (Kenzie) Stubbs; and sister, Marisa (Danny) Johnson; and nieces: Claire and Evelyn. His grandparents: Larry Robertson, Mary Hoff, and Ray and Patti Brant, will sorely miss their grandson. His aunts: DyLynn Robertson, Jill Lulay, and Candace Hedding; and uncles will miss him dearly, and especially his uncle, Jeff (Cheryl) Brant. His cousins: Zachary Charley (1999-2021,) Bryce Richmond, Shayley Charley, and Aspen McHuron-Guss, will miss the way he lovingly joked and teased them; and especially his cousin, Brendan Richmond, who shared a deep bond since childhood. His work colleagues and his many, many friends will always remember Colton – "LONG LIVE THE SQUAREBODY KING."

A celebration of Colton's life will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the Sweet Home Elks Lodge, 440 Osage Street, Sweet Home, OR 97386. Huston-Jost Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
