Donald Green Obituary

Elkhorn, WI - Donald E. Green, age 90, of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 16, 1934, the son of the late Earl and Ruby (Seim) Green. Don was united in marriage to his loving wife of 72 years, Arla, on July 5, 1952, in Thomson, IL. Together they built a beautiful life and had three children. In his free time, he was known to be a very good handyman, enjoyed playing cards, played a mean game of Croquet, enjoyed traveling and taking bus trips and watching car racing. He enjoyed doing meals on wheels, taught Sunday School and counted church money for many years. Don was also known to be an avid Packer and Badger Fan. He loved to dance with Arla, and they have been dancing together happily for over 72 years. His favorite thing to do above all, was spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed.

Don is survived by his wife; Arla, children; Deborah (Robert) Weltman, Douglas (Valerie) Green and Donna (Duane) Meicher, seven grandchildren; Matthew (Angela), Joel, John (Cindy), Julie (Todd), Alex (Danielle), Josh and Cailin, great grandchildren; Travis, Zack, Lily and Emma and sister-in-law; Peggy (Jim) Eissens.

Don is preceded in death by his parents; Earl and Ruby, one sister, one sister-in-law and two brothers in law.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the First United Methodist Church.

A service will take place on Friday, November 1, 2024, at First United Methodist Church of Elkhorn, 111 N Broad St. Elkhorn, WI, 53121, at 2:00PM.
