Dustin L. Risher, age 36 passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 in Santee, South Carolina from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on February 24, 1985 to Gene L. Risher and Sherry McKee Matheny. Dustin was born in Charleston, South Carolina and had lived in many places before moving to Elloree, South Carolina a few months ago. Dustin loved to travel and he was a talented musician and guitar player who loved music. His guitar playing lead him to many places playing in bands and seeing the world. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his children, Kami Brock of Ladson, SC, Dustin Risher, Jr., Cole Risher and Carly Risher all of Cane Bay, SC; mother, Sherry Matheny; siblings, Matthew (Angela) Risher of Elloree, SC, Elizabeth Risher and Nicholas Risher both of Ohio, Chelsea (Melvin) Ayala of Hudson, FL; also survived by many nieces nephews and other relatives.
Family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm Friday, September 3, 2021 at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am, Saturday, September 4, 2021 from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with the Reverend Phillip Rowland officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Scott, Billy Scott, Alex Scott, Joe Smith, Wendell Mahon, Wendell Mahon, Jr.
