Faye Adams Obituary
She was a native of Graham County, and the daughter of the late Clyde and Ila Hensley Barker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Melvin Barker; sister, Bobbie Anna Mae Hyde; and son-in-law, Tommy Hooper.
She is survived by her son, Ben P. Adams, Jr. (Vickey); daughter, Vickie West (Jeff); grandchildren, Ben C. Adams, (Mary), Matthew West and Hadley West; great-grandchildren, Bradley Adams and Maggie Adams; sister, Verna Garland; and brother, James Barker.
Through her marriage to Ben Adams, Sr., she was also a mother to Benny Nichols (Nancy), Ann Hooper and Cheryl Frazier (John); and grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements for a memorial service will be announced later.
Townson-Smith Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Adams family.

I continue to miss my good friend and co-worker. Her insights and opinions mattered and were appreciated. I especially miss her wry sense of humor and some of those creative dishes she would come up with. I've enjoyed getting better acquainted with Faye's sister Verna in our phone conversations. Faye always referred to her sister as "my sis." It was a long time before I actually knew Verna's name. I know it was a difficult year for Faye's family to celebrate special occasions and holidays without her. You were in my thoughts.

Faye was a really good friend and will be greatly missed. She was my beach buddy. We went to the beach together every year since 2011. We talked and texted the day before she passed away as we planned and scheduled our next beach trip to coincide with her grandson's wedding the end of May. She was excited about the wedding and the beach trip.
