Lillian Palmer Obituary

Lillian A. Palmer

In Loving Memory

St. George, Utah-Lillian A. Palmer, 90, died April 21, 2024. Born Jan. 16, 1934, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles Wilkinson Angell, and Ellen M. Rees Angell. She married Edson J. Palmer, May 1, 1953. Lillian attended Utah Technical College, where she was elected Student Body Treasurer while she worked to acquire her associate degree in accounting. She graduated in 1972, and continued her employment at the college, working in the finance department processing student loans for 2yrs. When it was time, Lillian challenged her

knowledge and experience by making a career move to Varian Assoc. for 17 years and enjoying a much-deserved retirement in 1992.

Lillian was a dedicated, compassionate, and loving mom. She was a devoted grandmother, at which time she said was one of the greatest joys of her life. Lillian's family was the most important thing. She was the rock that kept relationships, and events with her family together. Lillian had a presence that was sweet and wise with a dose of stern discipline. Her great sense of humor made her a joy to be with.

After retirement Lillian & Jay traveled by motor home to all of the lower 48 states, visiting the Capitals of every state. They also went on cruises to Hawaii, Alaska, Panama Canal, Mediterranean, & Baltic Sea. She also toured Japan, China, & Korea, with Russ & family. Lil and Jay moved to St. George in 2002.

Lil was survived by her loving husband, 3 sons, Steven J. (Teressa), Vernal UT.; Kenneth R. (Renee) Myton, UT. and Russell K. (Stacy); Salt Lake City, UT.; 1 daughter Suzanne P. Rawson (Dana), Priest River ID. Lil had seven grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. Preceded in death by both parents, infant son Angell Palmer, Siblings; Elva Angell Carlson, Charles Leslie Angell, Victor Lamar Angell, Verne Kilday, Ellen, Olive Angell Johnson, Sheldon L. Angell, Winona Angell Kilday, Ellen C. Angell Owsley, Larry L Angell

Lilian was such a sweet lady. She was quick to smile, always had a quick wit and could find the good in a situation or the world. I am proud to have known her. I will miss that smile and her funny quips. Love you Lil. Thank you for the time you were in my life, I am better for having known you,Dana
