Francis Avet Obituary
Francis, 80, a native of Grand Caillou, LA and a resident of Ponchatoula, LA, slipped peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 23, 2023.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, RayLee Menendez Avet; daughter, Cindy Avet; son, Tony Avet (Renee); stepdaughter, Melissa Powell; stepson, Leon Powell; sisters, Delores Authement (Willard), Louella Zeringue (Cecil), Yvonne Ordoyne (Michael), Elaine Broady (Jess); brothers, Ranis Avet (Janice), Merlin Avet; 3 grandsons; and 1 great-granddaughter.
Francis is preceded in death by his parents, Francis J. and Lucia Avet; stepson, Michael Powell; and sister, Lorina Boudreaux.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home at 12012 Hwy 190 W. Hammond, LA 70403 on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Sandhill Cemetery.
