Jennifer Lynn Hailey, age 50 of Altavista went home today to be with her God. She will be happy there being with God and getting to see everyone who has gone on before her and free from pain.
She was predeceased by her father, Randolph Kent Hailey; paternal grandparents, Jessie Hailey and Birdie S. H. Johnson. Also, her maternal grandparents, Swaney W. Dalton and Rosalie Doyle Dalton; a niece, Gabrielle R. Waller; a nephew, Rashaad Waller; an uncle, Dennis Dalton; and an aunt, Gloria Dalton-Brumfield.
Jennifer is survived by her mother, Karen I. Dalton; a sister, Susan V. Cook; and a niece, Ariana Skye Waller all of the residence; a special cousin-sister, Heather Logwood Utterback. She is also survived by a special nephew, Jacob Isaiah Reese of Danville; and a very special niece, Eliana. Also, two great-aunts, Viola Heath a Betty Haas; and two maternal aunts, Sharon Worley and Naomi Overpeck.
Our family was blessed to have as much time as we did with our sweet girl, given the odds stacked against her from birth. She was definitely a fighter and showed the doctors that only God knew her story and had the final say. We can see that beautiful smile on her face as she entered those Pearly Gates, walking those Golden streets headed to the river to find her grandma.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, Gretna is assisting the family. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.colbertmoran.com.
