Robert Leroy Reeves, a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on August 27, 2024, at the age of 81. Robert was born on January 5, 1943, in Meridian, Mississippi, to Otis and Kathlyn Reeves. He attended Louisiana State University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering and was a Tiger Band Member. Robert went on to work as an electrical engineer for many years. He was married to Bonnye Reeves for 55 years. Robert was a member of First Baptist Church of Baton Rouge. He loved Corvettes, singing in the church’s choir, and playing the clarinet.
Robert is survived by his wife, Bonnye Reeves; daughter, Joy Reeves; and other family members, Ann Reeves, Jason Reeves, Deanna McKinion, Madison Tyler and family, Gavon Reeves, Justin McKinion, and Tyler McKinion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Kathlyn Reeves, and brothers, Frank Reeves and Tommy Reeves.
Visitation will take place at First Baptist Church, 529 Convention Street, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 10:00 AM until services at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
