Michael Larose Obituary

LAROSE – Michael Joseph Larose, 40, passed away on Thursday September 21, 2023. He was a loving and supportive son, loyal and caring brother and the best uncle there ever was. Born September 28, 1982 in Hartford, CT; Michael was the eldest son of Mary Ann Larose and the late Robert Larose.

Mike loved being with his family, friends, and co-workers; his infectious laugh will be missed by all. Growing up, Mike rode his bike everywhere to do just about everything, whether it was fishing at the local lake or playing various games with friends until it was too dark to see. Ever the hard worker, a trait that he shared with his father, he stayed busy and earned his own money by going around the neighborhood to rake leaves, mow grass, or shovel driveways. Mike was a skilled and dedicated athlete, he was on the NJ State Select Soccer team and made the varsity team as a freshman. He was also very proud to be a certified EMT and volunteered with the Marlborough Fire Department.

Boston being Mike's favorite city, he began his college career at Assumption College. He then transferred to North Eastern University where he received his degree in Marketing and Finance, making Deans List and Honors many times during his years there.

Upon his graduation and a brief period working for Fidelity in Boston, Mike returned home to CT to further develop his skills and grow the family business. Like father, like son, Mike's entrepreneurial spirit was instrumental in developing and growing multiple market segments of the company, especially Agriculture. A testament to his character and personality, Mike took the role of "road warrior" and traveled extensively throughout the country developing business relationships and attending tradeshows. He never failed to make new friends, acquaintances, and return home with entertaining stories.

Mike had a heart of gold. Always willing to help anyone in need and spreading his infectious smile and laughter. He knew his neighbors wherever he lived and went out of his way to help in any way that he could. He was a good, generous person and always maintained a positive view of the world around him.

The love for his nieces, Emma and Ava, was like no other. "Uncle Mikey" as they call him, was always up for fun and he never failed to surprise them with a gift. As they say, "he was simply the best uncle" and they will miss him beyond measure.

Michael leaves behind is faithful companion, Buddy, who endured so much by his side, his loving mother Mary Ann Larose, sister Lauren Crane and her husband Justin of Simsbury and brother Matthew Larose of Manchester; cherished nieces, Emma and Ava Crane, both of Simsbury; his maternal grandmother Theresa Nemeth of Harwinton and many cherished aunts, uncles, extended family and company family.

A Christian Mass will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at St. Catherine of Siena in Simsbury at 1 PM. A Celebration of Life will follow at Simsbury 1820 House. Mike, we were so very lucky to have you in our lives. Your passion for everything that you did is a quality that anyone would be envious of. You were so good at anything you tried, from planting your gardens full of flowers, hiding your hatred for flying when you had to travel cross country to work, and most of all you were able to exchange in genuine conversations with pretty much anyone you met. You are the best person that I know, and the best Dog Dad that Buddy could´ve ever wished for. My heart hurts for everyone and everything that you have left behind. Your love truly knew no bounds. Thank you for being you...I will miss you for the rest of my life...Love Always, Nicole
P.S. Happy Birthday <3
