Paul Jones Obituary

PAUL BUCKY W. JONES, JR. Paul W. Jones, Jr., 83, of Honolulu, HI, passed away at his home on October 3, 2023. He was born on March 19, 1940 to Paul W. Jones Sr. and Elizabeth "Kapu" Reeves Jones, who along with his sisters Poli Jones Tonkin and Barbara Jones Kaaihili, preceded him in death. Paul lived most of his life in Kuliouou Valley surrounded by his aunties, uncles, and cousins. He graduated from Roosevelt High School and BYU Hawaii. Paul retired after 33 years with the Hawaii Newspaper Agency. Paul is survived by his wife Ann of 58 years and their children Paul Kekea Jones and his wife Makanani and their children Elisabeth-Ann, Abbie, Culley, and Jack; Daniel Keoni Jones and his wife Stacy and their children Anela, Angelina, Cody, and Emma; Keala Jones Peters and her husband Colin and their children Luke and Noah; and Kalau Jones and his children Nathalie, Lillie, Colette, Alice, and Arthur. Paul's fifteen grandchildren were a great source of joy. He especially loved playing cards and board games with them. Participating in their school activities and sporting events were opportunities he rarely missed. Paul's wife and family were his highest priority always. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 13 at Holy Trinity Church. Visitation is from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., eulogy at 10:00, and mass at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Francis Hospice or the Rehab Hospital of the Pacific.
