Linda M. Bischoff, of Stevensville passed away Monday, Aug. 4, 2025, after a fierce battle with cancer, at the age of 80. Linda was born on Oct. 27, 1944, in Little Rock, Ark. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn VanPelt; sons: Jeff (Tiasha) VanPelt, George (Cheryl) Bischoff Jr., and Mark Bischoff; grandchildren: Shawn (Kristina), Kim, Kristy, and Paul; great-grandchildren: Joshua and Kloe; siblings: Wendell Hawk, Ron (Peggy) Walters and Jim (Joye) Hawk. She also had a special "adopted" daughter Michelle that she loved very much.
A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. Friends may visit with the family beginning at noon Memorials may be made to Corewell Health Hospice and Palliative Care of Southwest Michigan. Linda married the love of her life, George M. Bischoff on March 11, 1977. They spent 33 beautiful years together before his death in 2010.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents: Lendel and Aura (Mahan) Hawk; husband, George Bischoff; siblings: Bobby Walters, Marilyn Price, Billy Walters, Carolyn Hockaday, Joyce Smith, Katy Walters and Phillip Walters.
Linda cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. She was the life of the party and loved all the wonderful friends she made during her daily morning coffee at Wyman's Café in Portage, Mich. A special thank you to Julie for being a dear friend.
She was a sports fanatic, and loved NASCAR (especially Dale Earnhardt Jr. No. 88), Chicago Bears and Cubs, Notre Dame football and NHRA. Her happy places were NASCAR race tracks, the NASCAR Hall of Fame and Wrigley Field.
Linda was a faithful member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Portage and was always there to help anyone in need.
Our hearts and broken and she will be dearly missed.
