Patricia Fisher Obituary

Patricia Campbell Fisher was born November 29th, 1931, in Logan, Utah to Margaret Fifield & Oscar Isaiah Campbell and passed away Oct 23rd, 2024, in Smithfield, Utah.

Patty married Garold B. Fisher in the Logan LDS Temple in 1949 on Gary's birthday, June 7th. They were married more than 63 years. Patty & Gary have 3 sons, Blair & Tamie, Don & Patience and Ed and Lisa Fisher. They have also been blessed with grandchildren, many great grandchildren with 2 on the way and 2 great great grand-daughters and 1 great great-grandson.

Patty was raised in Weston, Idaho with her older brother Boyd, older sister Renee, and her younger brothers Roger and Paul. She is preceded in death by her husband Gary and her son Blair.

After Patty & Gary married, she and Gary farmed together on the Fisher Family homestead ranch nestled below Oxford Mountain in Southeast Idaho, which has been in the Fisher family since 1883. Patty loved Gary's siblings, Jack, Donald, Annabelle and Barbara.

They spent their first married years in Oxford and then moved to a little house in Clifton down the street from Twin Lakes. Years later, when Blair & Donnie started a construction company, they helped build Patty & Gary's 2nd home in Clifton next door. Upon retirement in 2009, they moved to Logan, Utah.

As a young wife, Patty worked at the farm, was a homemaker, cared for their boys and often took care of her youngest brother Paul and her parents in Weston too. Patty has endless talents and embraced each with pride. She loved to cook, craft and sew. She sewed amazing ruffle dresses which were quite the fashion statement for the little girls in her life. If you know what macrame is ... Patty was a pro. Patty loved to laugh, and she loved her family most of all and considered her extended family her best friends. She and Gary enjoyed the dance hall and were dance chairpersons for the golden green ball for the mutual in their ward. Their favorite vacations were often road trips. Patty was Gary's office assistant at Bonneville Realty helping him with real estate and appraisals. Patty & Gary kept their real estate & appraisal office on Main Street in Preston well into their 70's so we always had the best seats for Preston's Famous Rodeo Parade until they closed up shop in 2008. Work ethic has always been a Fisher family staple.

Patty has been an active member in the LDS Church. She served in the primary as well as numerous ward callings over time, to each of which she gave her very best efforts.

Summarizing 93 years isn't feasible. As a child, life was in black and white with all the limits of the time, and yet, Patty always talked of a happy childhood. She had built-in best friends with her siblings and those bonds never wavered. She was "head-over-hills" in love with Gary and that foundation was all they needed to cherish each other eternally. She often helped care for her younger brothers, Roger and Paul, so mothering came naturally to her when Blair and Don came along in 1950 and in 1952. Nine years later in 1961, Ed arrived the spring before she turned 30. It's always been evident, Patty is the number one fan for each of her boys, without a doubt. Patty took pride in her home and her family and was fiercely loyal. She and Gary defined "teamwork", both at home and in the office.

Patty could always light up a room and has been an inspiration her whole life. She has so many qualities and values we admire and appreciate. For more than 9 decades, Patty definitely had a little spunk, which is only one of the reasons we will miss her so much and remember her with much love and a smile. We are humbled and honored to have received a lifetime of blessings as Patty's loved ones.

Patty's Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 30th at Allen Hall Mortuary at 34 East Center in Logan, Utah. I worked on Patty's nails for a few year when she lived at Pioneer Valley Lodge, before Covid shut everyone out. She was a spicy lady and I just thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her. What a lady of grace and sass she was!! I bet she is happy as can be to be with her husband and son.
