Wauwatosa, WI - Passed away peacefully on October 17, 2024 at the age of 93.Beloved husband of Dolores. Loving father of Mary (Carl) Strohmaier and James (Karen). Adored grandpa of Sara Strohmaier, Melissa McDermott and Peter "Mac" McDermott. Mac was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Edith, and his sister Doris Hunter. Mac grew up in Hustisford, WI on his family farm, Hyland Farm. He raised sheep and cattle throughout his childhood before attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison Agricultural College. He later went on to proudly serve our country in the Korean War. He joined the Army serving in the counterintelligence corps in Tokyo Japan.
