Fay Correll Obituary

LaRay Correll, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 3, 1936, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Felix and Susie Williams, LaRay grew up in Pocatello, where she attended Pocatello High School.

In 1953, LaRay married the love of her life, Jim Correll, and together they built a beautiful life with three children: Becky, Jack, and Chrissy.

LaRay pursued a career at Rolands dairy and retired after 30 years from Western General dairies. After Jim retired from Union Pacific Railroad, the couple embarked on a new chapter, managing the Willow Bay Café in American Falls, Idaho. Over 17 wonderful years, they operated a restaurant, campground, and boat launch that became beloved by the community. During this time, Jim and LaRay formed cherished friendships that lasted a lifetime.

A gifted cook and baker, LaRay was celebrated for her delicious homemade meals and exceptional pies, which brought joy to many. She was a natural hostess, especially during hunting season, welcoming friends and family into her home with warmth and generosity. Her fun, witty, and spirited personality left an impression on everyone she met, and her kindness knew no bounds.

In her later years, LaRay enjoyed spending winters in Yuma, Arizona, alongside her partner Billy and her daughter Becky, forming a close-knit trio affectionately known as the "Three Musketeers."

LaRay's family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers at Enhabit Home Health and Hospice, as well as to the many friends and loved ones who have sent flowers, meals, and kind condolences. We would like to extend a deep appreciation to Sue Brown, the greatest neighbor and friend, for helping care for LaRay and Billy while they were there in Arizona and away.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Susie Williams; her husband, Jim Correll; her significant other, Billy Smith; five brothers, Cliff, Gail, Wally, Wayne, and Harold; and her sister, Veloy Fullmer. And her granddaughter Camille Dean.

LaRay is survived by her three children: Becky Evans, Jack (Brenda) Correll, and Chrissy Lloyd; brother-in-law Ronnie Fullmer; five grandchildren: Travis (Migle) Taylor, Jeremy Lloyd, Susie Lloyd, Pika (Dani) Correll, and Andy Correll; eight great-grandchildren: Madison (Danielle) Stephenson, Mitchell Taylor, Brogan Buchanan, Baylor Buchanan, Darby Lloyd, and Jace Lloyd; Oliver Dean and Grace Dean.

and one great-great-grandchild, Slade Stephenson.

LaRay will be deeply missed by all who knew her and whose lives she touched. Her legacy of love, generosity, and laughter will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. A celebration of life will be held on June 21st, 2025 @ 2pm. 2702 Landing RD, Rockland ID.
