Leonard Ashley Obituary

Leonard Jessie Ashley, Jr., 57, of Fountain Inn, formerly of Abbeville, died Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at his home. He was born in Abbeville to the late Leonard Jessie Ashley, Sr., and Eunice Beasley Ashley.

A 1986 graduate of Abbeville High School, Jessie was formerly employed with R.W. Curtis LLC as a construction worker and was a master welder. He cherished the moments spent with family. Jessie had a passion for playing guitar, working on cars, gardening and cooking and he was of the Baptist faith.

Jessie is survived by his children, Lauren Wells (Preston) of Greenwood, Brittany Ashley and Jessie Ashley, III, both of Abbeville; two sisters, Patsy Ashley and Denise Cooper (Kenny) all of Abbeville; three grandchildren, Ky'Lee, Layla and Bradley; three nephews, Josh Cooper (Deanna), Brandon Cooper (Jamie) and Zachary Cooper; and four great-nephews, Brady, Wyatt, Dylan and Mason; great-niece, Kaylin; and special friends, Johnny Graham (Lisa), Dee Curtis (Brittany) and Colby Curtis (Kelsey).

A service to celebrate Jessie's life will be 4:00PM, Monday, October 27, 2025, at Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville Chapel, 302 N. Main St, Abbeville, SC 29620. The family will receive friends following the service.

Memorial contributions, in memory of Jessie, may be sent to the South Carolina Spinal Cord Injury Association, 302 Graystone Blvd, STE 170, Columbia, SC 29210.
