Carol Joyce (Glendenning) Lindsey December 16, 1933 - November 7, 2025 Carol Joyce Lindsey was born on December 16, 1933, in Little Elm, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Andrew Caven and Agnes Rose (Hansel) Glendenning. She passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, in Jacksboro, Texas, at the age of 91.

Carol married the late John Ray Lindsey on July 28, 1956, in Green Valley, Texas. She was an educator who taught in the Jacksboro and Antelope School Systems and later served as an educator and diagnostician for the Jack and Clay County Co-Op. After moving to the Jacksboro area, Carol served as the Home Development Agent, a position that later became known as the Jack County Extension Agent.

Carol was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jacksboro, the Jacksboro Retired Teachers Association, and the Jacksboro Garden Club. She served on the Jacksboro ISD School Board.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, David Lindsey and wife Pam, and Carolyn Jones and husband Walter; her sister, Karen Glendenning; two grandsons, Andrew and Jonathon Lindsey; and three great-grandchildren, John Henry Ray Lindsey, Piper Brazille, and Ellison Lindsey, as well as other extended family members and friends.
