Maria Di Bello
Maria Antonia (Ruggiero) Di Bello, age 86, of Bridgeport, CT, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Coreno Ausino, Province of Frosinone, Italy, on May 1, 1936, Maria was the daughter of the late Francesco and Maria Ruggiero, and sister of the late Marcello Ruggiero. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years, Domenico Di Bello, whom she married at 15 years old before immigrating to the United States. Maria and her husband settled in Bridgeport in 1953. She worked alongside her husband for over 30 years as an inspector at Cornwall Patterson. Maria was a loving wife, mother, and devoted Nonna. She is survived by two sons, Filippo and Francesco (Carenna) Di Bello, and four beloved grandchildren Gianna, Mia, Francesco, and Domenico Di Bello.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday, April 17, 2023 11:00 a.m. DIRECTLY in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Immediately followed by Entombment in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
