Christopher Mason Obituary

Christopher Lyn Mason, 54, of Lake City, Arkansas passed away on August 22, 2025 at Lakeside Nursing Home. He was born on June 18, 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee to William Jackson Mason and Florence Shempert. He was a member of Rose Chapel Church. Enjoyed hunting with his daughter (Anna) and coaching her in softball. He also loved his nieces and nephews. Survivors include; his daughter: Anna Mason (Clayton Kemp) of Pocahontas, Arkansas and her mother Tonya Mason of Caraway, Arkansas; four brothers: Larry Mason (Amanda) of Lake City, Arkansas, Kenneth Shempert (Melinda) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Steve Shempert (Christy) of Wilson, Arkansas, and William Mason, Jr. of Trumann, Arkansas; one sister: Linda Costner (Shane) of Harrisburg, Arkansas; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by; his father: William Jackson Mason; his mother: Florence Shempert; one brother: Dewayne Mason; and hisgrandparents: Claude and Ora Mason. Pallbearers: Tin Gyngard, Chad Sneed, Terry Harkey, Jeffrey Crews, Kerry Gyngard, and Shane Costner. Honorary pallbearers: Chuck Foster, Kendall Overshine, and Craighead County Workers. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the Refuge Church, Lake City, Arkansas with Bro. Glen Hoselton officiating. Burial will follow at Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
