Eric J. List
Frankenmuth, MI
Went home to be with his Lord unexpectedly Wednesday, November 6, 2024; age 48 years. Eric was born on September 2, 1976 in Saginaw, MI to John and Lois List; they survive him. He was baptized into his faith at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Frankenmuth.
Eric graduated from Frankenmuth High School in 1995 as a Co-Valedictorian. He graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, and then went on to earn his master’s degree from Rensselaer Polytech Institute. He previously worked for Nexteer Automotive as a senior project engineer. He enjoyed golfing and played baseball and golf in high school. Eric also loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are his parents John and Lois, sister Amy List of Frankenmuth, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A private service will take place. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to a charity of donor’s choice.

John and Lois, I am so sorry to hear about your son, Eric. Doug and I are praying for you to feel God's comfort at this time of deep sadness. God tells us himself in Deuteronomy 31:8 "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." We pray you feel God's loving arms around you to strengthen and support you. (Your friends at Faith Lutheran Church)

Dear John & Lois, my heart goes out to you. I would like to share with you both this message: “As you look above perhaps you don’t see stars in the sky, but rather openings where Eric is shining down to let you know he is happy in heaven” Deepest Sympathy. Your friend Connie Hoard, FMIC

My deepest condolences and prayers to all of the family and friends who had the pleasure of being close with Eric. As a classmate, teammate and friend, it was impossible to not admire his intelligence, integrity and sense of humor. I cherish the time we spent together in high school and college; on the fields, the after hours get togethers and the engineering classes at MSU. His laughter was contagious and he made everyone around him better. Eric - Rest easy knowing you made a difference in this world and you will be missed.

Mr & Mrs List, Amy, family and extended friends, Today, I was saddened to hear about Eric’s passing. Growing up in school with him I have memories of Eric being one of the smartest guys in class, and looked up to him. He was such a kind, and wonderful guy to be around and was friendly to everyone willing to help out with a subject. He was always my locker neighbor throughout our school days and I’ll forever remember his love for football, golf, and his fantastic smile. Eric will surly be missed from the Class of 95’
Rest in Peace

"Mr. & Mrs." List & Amy, I'm so sorry to hear of Eric's passing. He was a good friend growing up and through school. My best friend for years. I always looked up to him, and have many good memories of him and your family. Coming in the kitchen after school, "hey mom, what's for dinner?" And the GI Joes lined up in formation in his room!
