Irving Weston Obituary

It was my joy and privilege to be neighbors and good friends with Irv and Bobbi in their last house here in Arizona. Irv was always such a kind, gentle soul to be around. I loved our medical conversations as well as enjoying a steak and glass of Pinot Noir with him on many occasions for over a decade. Miss him much. Nancy Steriotis

I had a great time running with Irv, traveling to marathons and ultras. We also crewed for him in Colorado and the Western States 100. He was a nice man and good friend.

My wife, Amy, and I worked with Dr. Weston in Phoenix in the late 90's at MDS Harris. He was true gentleman and we are richer for knowing him and the positive influence he had on us. Condolences to the family.

We knew Irv as a physician in Lincoln, NE. Always a kind and gentle soul.

Irv was a wonderful physician and a friend. He was one of the kindest men that I have known. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Irv and I were good friends; had many discussions in Doctor Lounge at Bryan Hospital. I sat with him when Joanne was failing then died. And then he was overjoyed when he introduced his 2nd wife at a downtown event. I kept asking him why torturing himself with long distance running; I think he escaped mentally into a peaceful quiet spiritual time. Quite a man.

We knew Irv through family connections, and infrequent family meetings. He was kind, knowledgeable and a very likeable individual. I especially admire his "Alaska to Nebraska" bicycle ride with his step grandson. Please pass on our deepest condolences to Bobbi and family.

Indeed a gentle man. He found a melanoma on my back in 1980 and likely saved my life. Great guy.

Irv was a good man and great friend. I remember supporting him in Boulder, Colorado when he did that crazy week long run around the inside track. May he rest in peace. Condolences to his family.
