Charles (Chuck or Tennessee) Hardin 86 of Stanwood Washington went to be with his Lord and beautiful Savior on November 1, 2023.
Charles was the fourth of seven children born to Hal Wilbern and Myrtle Haldean (Trull) Hardin of Jackson, Tennessee.
At the young age of 17, he followed in his brothers' footsteps and joined the United States Navy.
He married his sweetheart Donna Shultz, on February 6, 1958.
Chuck worked at the Boeing Company for 38 years.
He had many hobbies over the years, such as playing on the Boeing baseball and the bowling teams. coin collecting, rattlesnake hunting, talking on short wave radio, playing cards games, and dominoes. But fishing was his greatest love. He never left home without at least 1 fishing pole in his car.
He enjoyed fishing for Salmon at Sekiu, Washington and bass fishing in the pot holes of Eastern Washington.
Chuck retired in 1992 and was able to fulfill a lifetime dream to travel full time in travel full time in their RV. His favorite trip was to Alaska where he spent several months fishing for Salmon, while Donna learned how to can the fish. They also enjoyed visiting their family in Tennessee, Texas, and Minnesota. When the time came that Chuck could no longer travel, he and Donna decided to come back to Washington to be closer to their immediate family.
Chuck is proceeded in death by his parents, brothers Jr, Robert, Richard, and his sisters Margaret and baby Sheila, He is survived by his wife Donna and his sister Patricia. Daughters Joyce (Chris) Johnson and Janine (Brian) Mai
His grandchildren Stephanie, Derick, Rachel, Wes, and Ian.
His great grandchildren Lauren, Christian, Miles, Ryder, and Beyla.
His final resting place will be Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, Washington.
