Robert Boyer Obituary

Robert J. Boyer, 63, of S. Tionesta Ave., passed away Sunday (October 19, 2025).

Born November 12, 1961, in Kane, he was a son of Robert and Mary Ann (Carroll) Boyer.  On July 21, 2007, in Kane, he married Robynn (Hearst) Boyer who survives.

Bob was a Quality Manager for ARG.  He was a PIAA Official for football, volleyball, basketball, baseball, and softball.  He was a member of the Kane Community Methodist Church where he served in various capacities of servantship.

Bob's hobbies included biking on the TAMED trails, hiking, playing with his furry dog friend, Thor, and spending time his grandsons.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, Robynn and his parents are two daughters, Brittany Sprankle of Kane and Lacy (Jacob) Slater of Erie; two sons, Brandon (Ashley) Kowatch of Maryville, TN  and Cody Boyer of Kane; three grandsons, Carson Sprankle, Cameron Sprankle and Camden Kowatch; a brother, Daniel (Julie) Boyer of Kane; and a sister, Kimberly Boyer of VA.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Martin Boyer.

Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Kane Community Methodist Church where funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm with The Rev. Calvin Cook officiating.  Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the local Rails to Trails at: TAMED (Trail Association of McKean Elk Divide), PO Box 326, Kane, PA 16735

I was deeply saddened to hear of Bob´s passing. He was a wonderful colleague - kind, respectful, professional, and a pleasure to work with. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

We're so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. It saddens us that he departed way too soon, but he certainly led a full life during his brief time here. His quick wit, officiating skills, and contributions to many youth programs will always be remembered. Our condolences to his family, and RIP Bob.
