Sadowski, Barbara Ann (nee Bryan), baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection, Sunday, September 8, 2024 at the age of 77.
Loving mother of Laurie (H. Dennis) Forsythe and Paul Sadowski; dear grandmother of Rachel (Camron) Shipley, William Forsythe and Benjamin Forsythe; daughter of the late Francis and Margaret Bryan (nee Walther); sister of Claire (Steve) Bellville, the late Francis (Lucille) Bryan Jr. and the late Michael E. Bryan; loving aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Born in St. Louis, Barbara Ann was the second oldest among her three siblings. She attended Holy Infant School. She was a 1965 graduate of Ursuline Academy. While raising two toddlers, Barb attended Meramec Community College School of Nursing. She maintained a straight A average, was on the Dean’s List and graduated with highest honors. In 1998, Barb graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of St. Francis in Joilet, IL. This was a life-long accomplishment that she had strived for and was very proud of. Barb spent her entire nursing career (over 40 years) with St. John’s Mercy Hospital. She began working on the surgical floor and then worked straight nights in the Intensive Care Unit. Along with her full-time job, Barb did Home Health Care Nursing on the side. She very much enjoyed working at Meacham Park Clinic in Kirkwood and the John F. Kennedy Clinic in Creve Coeur. Not only was Barb a skilled nurse she was a compassionate and kind person to her patients, family and friends. Barb devoted her life to her two children, Laurie and Paul. They are truly grateful and thankful for all of her love and support. Barb touched many lives throughout her life. She will be missed by all who loved her!

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your mom, Barb. I worked with her on the surgical floor and again in JFK clinic. She was a compassionate & caring person. She loved talking about her children and grand-children. May your happy memories of her bring you peace and comfort at this time.

I’m very sorry to hear about the passing of Barb. I enjoyed working with her at both of the clinics she worked at for many years. She was a nurse who served her patients with compassion and great care. I would occasionally see Barb at Holy Infant Church (also our parish). Sending prayers to Barb’s family’
