Daina S. Dorband, 63, of Lily Lake, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Aurora, Illinois, on March 6, 1961, to parents, Janis and Dian Eglitis.
Daina leaves behind her mother, Dian Johnsen; her beloved husband of 37 years, Michael Dorband; her sons: Mike Dorband Jr. and Charles "Billy" Dorband; her siblings: Cindy (Chris) Kuehn, Michael (Connie) Johnsen, Janis (Christine) Johnsen, Jody (Pam) Johnsen, and Dan (Rachael) Johnsen; her brother-in-law, Russ Lee; many nieces and nephews; and many friends she considered family.
She is reunited with her father, Janis Eglitis; her second father, Robert F. Johnsen; and her sisters: Kate (Fred) Robinson and Patty Lee.
The family will be hosting a memorial service on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 11:00a.m. at Lord of Life Lutheran Church at 40W605 IL-38, Elburn, IL 60119. Luncheon to follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers, consider donating to the Lord of Life Lutheran Church's Missons. Memorials may be mailed in care of P.O. Box 66, Elburn, 60119.
