Sherryl VanNoty Obituary

ELKHART - Sherryl Kathleen (Hostetter) VanNoty, 90, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024, at the home she shared with her great-grandson, Logan Bussard.

She was born on Sept. 25, 1934, in Elkhart, daughter of the late Charles and Iva (Forker) Hostetter.

Sherryl is survived by her children, Carol Lee (Redman-Bussard) Stack (Ronald), of Elkhart, Duke "Byron Kent" Redman, of Hudson and Tami (Randy) Redman-Strayley, of Hudson; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brother, Tom (Jackie) Hostetter, of Middlebury; sister, Marilyn Fair, of Vandalia, Michigan; and a loving host of extended family, friends, and acquaintances.

In addition to her parents, Sherryl was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

In accordance with Sherryl's wishes, cremation has been chosen and a celebration of life potluck will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 1-5 p.m., at the Elkhart County Historical Museum Auditorium, 304 W. Vistula St., Bristol, IN 46507.

Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been entrusted with her cremation arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made in Sherryl's honor may be directed to the Humane Society of Elkhart County, 54687 C.R. 19, Bristol, IN 46507.
