William Thomas Winn (Bill), beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away on May 7, 2024, at the age of 76.
Born on October 18, 1947, to Kent Winn and Ruth Anne Evans. Bill led a life defined by love, dedication, and service.
A devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bill found joy and fulfillment in his faith. On July 16, 1977, he married Joyce Cain in Enterprise, Alabama, a union later solemnized in the Bern Switzerland Temple.
Bill served as an Army pilot for 23 years and after his time in the Army he spent another 18 years as a pilot for Life Flight. Outside of flying Bill also enjoyed woodworking and fly fishing as hobbies.
Bill is survived by his wife Joyce Winn and their four children and their spouses: Corrina and Bob Larrabee, Nathan and Brooke Winn, Jared and Jenny Winn, and Landenn Winn, his nine grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Additionally he is survived by his siblings Bob Winn, Bud Winn, Janice Raymond and Evelyn Jordan. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and his son Anthony Thomas Winn.
Bill left behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication that will be remembered by all who knew him.
Funeral Services will be on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 12:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meetinghouse located at 1600 South 4500 West, Syracuse. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to the service at the church. Bill will be laid to rest at Memorial Lakeview Mortuary & Cemetery, 1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful.
