Columbus, Georgia - Arnel Hans Johann Tate, age 58, passed away on Monday, Aug. 14, 2023. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, Aug. 25, 2023 at Christ Community Church, 4078 Milgen Road, Columbus 31907. Pastor Derrick Shields will be officiating according to the Charles E. Huff's International Funeral Home, Inc. The family will have visitation at 10:00 AM until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that all memorials be gifted to The American Heart Association in Arnel Hans Johann Tate's memory. www.heart.org
Arnel was born in Pisa, Italy on Nov. 9, 1964 and was the third born of four children to Mrs. Frieda Hildenbeutel Tate and the late Garnett Ray Tate, Sr. He attended school in Burlington, MA, and later graduated from Spencer High School and furthered his education at Columbus Technical College. Arnel worked at Pratt and Whitney as an Engineer Technician. He is preceded in death by his father Garnett Ray Tate Sr. and brother-in-law Lain Jeffrey Morgan.
He is remembered by his loving wife, Cindy Gilyard Tate; beloved son, Jonathan Hans Tate; his mother, Frieda Hildenbeutel Tate; mother & father-in-law Carol Ann & Roy Hawkins Gilyard; his siblings, Delia Tate Morgan, Garnett Ray Tate Jr., and Troy Spencer Tate Sr.; sister-in-laws, Helen Covin Tate, and Marsha Taylor Tate; brother-in-law, Christopher Mark Gilyard; nieces & nephews, Tianna Michelle Morgan, Keyarra Chantal Morgan, Coraine Tate Sharma, Aroon Kumar Sharma, Tamara Amanda Tate, Garnett Ray Tate III, Destiny Rae Tate, Troy Spencer Tate II, Rowan Taylor Tate, Jordan Troy Scott, Aiden Jeffrey Morgan, Raven Symone Cladd, NaKina Robinson, Jalen Christopher Gilyard; many cousins, other relatives and close friends.
