Michael Watson Obituary
October 23, 1956 - August 21, 2023
Columbus, Georgia - Michael Thomas "Tommy" Watson passed away on August 21, 2023. Tommy was born in Germany on October 23, 1956.
Mr. Watson was part of the graduating class of 1974 from Carver High School. He served in the US Navy from 1980-1986, and rose to the rank of Chief Petty Officer as a gas turbine engineer on the USS O'Bannon. He proudly worked for Papa Johns for the past 25 years as a customer service representative. He was also a huge Auburn fan who loved listening to talk radio on his Tigers.
Tommy was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Watson, father Oliver Watson, sister Patty Watson, and best friend of 50+ years, Dennis Register.
He is survived by his nephews Chris (Jennifer) Driggers and Jeff (Heather) Driggers. Tommy is lovingly remembered by his close friends that loved him as family: Darlene Register, Chris (Annie) Register and Steven (Beth) Register.

This picture is how I remember Tommy. He and J are goofing around in Heaven now. Even though he ended up at Carver, he will always be a part of the Kendrick Class of 1974. Rest in peace!

Tommy was such a fun guy! I last saw him at Patty´s funeral when he passed me the Kendrick class of 1974´s reunion box Patty had saved for me. He will be missed!

My deepest condolences to Tommy's family and friends. We had not kept in regular contact over the years, but we bumped into each other from time to time. I worked with Tommy at MUTEC (Panasonic) for several years. I have many fond memories of our time working together. He definitely loved his Auburn Tigers. I know he will be missed.
