Anna Marie Halloran Jacob Obituary

Anna Marie Halloran Jacob passed away suddenly on July 21, 2025 in Santa Monica from cancer-related complications. She was born on March 16, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois to Dr. William and Catherine Halloran and was the fifth of ten children. When she was six months old, the family relocated to Southern California. Anna grew up with her siblings in Costa Mesa where they all attended St. Joachim Catholic School.

Anna graduated from Mater Dei High School in 1980. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Economics from UC Irvine in 1984 and, while working for McDonnell Douglas, she earned her MBA from USC's Marshall School of Business. Anna later accepted a position with Shearson Lehman in New York and began an exceptional career as an investment banker in New York and in Los Angeles where she held senior level positions in several private equity and investment banking firms. Anna was an outspoken advocate for women in business, was a frequent speaker before corporate and professional groups, and taught finance at Loyola Marymount University.

Anna married Warren Jacob in 2005, and they made their home in Pacific Palisades. They began their family with the birth of Shannon and Patrick in 2008. The twins were her greatest pride and joy, and she found immense happiness in being a mother. She was dedicated to nurturing their growth and well-being and was a fierce advocate for them. She treasured holidays spent at home and with her extended family. She will always be remembered for her joyful spirit, kindness and spirited sense of humor.

Anna was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband, their two children, her step-children Katherine Jacob Smith (Tyler) and granddaughters Grace and Eleanor, Allison Jacob Czuprynski (Adam) and Scott Jacob (Kristen) and granddaughters Amelia and Sylvie, her siblings Vanessa Halloran Hubert (Andrew), Patricia Halloran Bailey (Mark), Catherine Halloran, John Halloran (Mary Anne), Jane Halloran Campbell (Matthew), Una Halloran, Bill Halloran (Polly), Finola Halloran Manvelian (Greg), Emilian Halloran (Brigid), her 12 cherished nieces and nephews, her aunts Eileen Blasius and Brigid Hilliard, and many cousins and second cousins here and in Ireland.

A celebration of life Mass will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Monica Catholic Church in Santa Monica. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in Anna's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Los Angeles or Door of Hope in Pasadena.
