Carroll Ray Holder “Tex” 58 passed away on August 31, 2024, in Odessa.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, September 6, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, September 7th, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with pastor jimmy officiating. A burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Tex was born in Monahans Texas to Carroll and Sigrid Holder on August 26, 1966. Tex was raised in Odessa Tx and graduated from Permian High school in 1985. He met the love of his life Kelly and married January 8, 1986, in Odessa Tx. Tex worked as an IT tech for his own company for 26 years. He attended First Odessa, and he did Boxing at Permian. Tex loved to fish and gamble. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Tex never met a stranger. Every person in the world, to him, was just a friend he hadn’t met yet. Tex had the biggest heart, and always saw the good in everyone.
Tex is preceded in death by his father, Carroll Ray Holder Sr.; his grandfather, Jack Holder; grandmother, Mildred Holder Shipman; and step grandfather, Glen Shipman; grandfather, Oran Pinson; and grandmother, Francis Pinson.
Tex is survived by his wife, Kelly Holder; daughters, Danielle Holder and spouse AJ Vergara, Julie Losoya and spouse Juan Losoya; son, John Holder and spouse Elyssa Zuniga; sisters, Brenda Holder and Diane Holder, Linda Montgomery; nephews, Brandon Holder, Kristopher Pierce; mother, Sigrid Maria Holder; grandchildren, Alexander, Stayve, Athena, Gabriel, Renesmee, Ayden, and Kyland; In laws, Joel Sanchez, Linda and John Gavin, Denise and Dennis Collins, and Joni and Joe Guidry; and also many cousins and childhood friends.
Pallbearers will be Craig Meyers, Alexander Sanchez, Stayve Sanchez, Aj Vergara, Juan Losoya and Brandon Holder.
The family of Tex Holder wishes to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has supported and helped through this tough time. Special thanks to Sunset Memorial and Pastor Jimmy Braswell for making time for us on a Saturday.
