Clifford Melvin Obituary
He was born April 20, 1956 in Pensacola, Florida. He was the son of Sherman and Lorraine Melvin.
Clifford was a graduate of University of Florida and Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. He was a United Methodist Minister for over 35 years. Most recently, he attended Community Church of Vero Beach.
In Vero Beach, he volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, United Against Poverty, Beachland Elementary, and Salvation Army. While in Huntingtown, Maryland he served with Honduras Compassion Partners, Summit Men, and End Hunger.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth "Betsy" Ross; son, Matthew Vincent Melvin; mother, Lorraine Melvin; sisters, Cindy Scott and Jeanette Roccanova; brothers, Glenn Melvin and Paul Melvin.
He was predeceased by his father, Sherman V. Melvin and brother, Robert Melvin.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at The Community Church of Vero Beach, 1901 23rd. Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960 with Rev. Dr. Anna Copeland officiating.

Clifford was a very good friend of mine while in seminary and after seminary for several years before we lost touch. I just learned of Cliff´s passing. Cliff was such a loving and caring soul, full of fun, calm and easy going, a real joy and a good friend. Cliff and his wife at that time, Sue, shared a back porch with my wife and I in seminary housing and shared many a meal and happy times. My sincere and deepest condolences to Cliff´s family.

He was a brilliant, caring, good humored man. Our family loved his intelligence a calming spirit throughout Bible teaching, weddings, baptisms, and church services.
Thank you Lord, for the joy of knowing your kind and loyal servant. The Graham family is saddened that Pastor Melvin left us too young.
