Josephine M Scott, of Rio Rancho NM was born on November 14, 1944, in Denver CO. On November 4, 2025, at the age of 80, she passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Josephine was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-Grandmother, Great-Great-Grandmother, sister, Aunt and friend,
Josephine is proceeded in death by her parents, Basilio and Juanita Rodriguez, one Brother, Pete Rodriguez, her beloved Daughters, Bernadine Lemos and Francine Romero, Granddaughter Christina Archuleta and Grandsons, Michael Escamilla, Andre Lemos, EJ Palmer, Jose Lemos and John Lemos.
Josie is survived by her three children— Donna Chavez (Dennis) of Rio Rancho NM, Fermin Padilla Jr. (Barbara) of Las Vegas NM and Lanette Romero of Las Vegas, NM. She is also survived by her siblings, Rose Gallardo, Frances Rodriguez, Robert Rodriguez (Anne), Jenny Rodriguez, Basilio Rodriquez Jr., Pete Rodriguez (Jenny) all of Denver CO and Gilbert Rodriguez (Librada) of San Pedro CA. Josie had Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, all of whom brought her endless joy and held their own special place in her heart.
Josephine will always be remembered for her kind heart, her unwavering love for her family, her generosity and always wanting to help her friends and family. She had a love for adventure and always wanting to be on the go. She was always ready to spontaneously get in the car, bus or airplane to go wherever her family would take her, bible in tow.
Josephine was a devout Christian who will be remembered for her love of God. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met and countless memories that her family will cherish forever. She will be truly missed by all.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 10:00 am. Services will be held at Legacy Church (East Campus), located at 4701 Wyoming Blvd NE Albuquerque, NM 87109.
