IRISH, Douglas E.  Age 70, of Davison, formerly of Lake, MI, and Gaines, MI, died Friday, January 21, 2005 at his residence. Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Rev. Jim Hoggard officiating. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Gaines. Visitation will be 7-9 PM Sunday, 4-9 PM Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to McLaren Hospice or Mid-Michigan Hospice. Mr. Irish was born April 16, 1934 in Flint the son of Lorenzo and Leatha (Euper) Irish. He had resided in Davison a short time coming from Lake, MI. He had resided in Gaines prior to moving to Lake. He was a 1952 graduate of Beecher High School and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He married Linda M. Froberg in Angola, IN, in 1956. Mr. Irish retired from G.M.  Chevrolet Manufacturing in 1991 and was a member of U.A.W. Local 659. Surviving are: wife, Linda; 3 sons, David and wife Rebecca of Davison, Daniel and wife Sherrill of Clio, Douglas and wife Allison of Brentwood, CA; 7 grandchildren, Stephanie, Renee, Nicholas, Kyle, Ethan, Tyler, and Bethany; brothers and sisters, Ed and wife Marge, Lyle and wife Jackie, Keith and wife Esther, Gene and wife Jackie, Carolyn Brock, Lois Little, Vickie and husband Garth Wade, Joan Eshelman, Lorraine and husband Ron Almasy, Sherryl and husband Charlie Wilbur, Connie and husband Tom Schneider, Katie and husband Steve Vulders; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 children, Carol Ann and Raymond; and a sister. Friends may share a tribute or condolence online at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
