Thomas Dominic Vidmar
Thomas Dominic Vidmar passed away peacefully on his 78th birthday, July 1, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada, a city he called home for the past 39 years.
Tom's early life in Hibbing laid the foundation for the exceptional person he would become. He pursued higher education at the University of North Dakota, where he not only earned his degree but also served as President of his fraternity, showcasing his ability to lead and bring people together.
After graduating, Tom proudly served in the United States Army, a testament to his dedication and love for his country. In the 1980's he made the bold move to Las Vegas, a place where his passion for entertainment flourished. Throughout his distinguished career in the entertainment industry, accomplished writer and artist Tom made indelible marks on the lives of many, fueled by his magnetic personality and unwavering work ethic.
Tom is survived by his cherished spouse, Margaret, with whom he shared a living and vibrant life; stepdaughters, Lisa Cadena, Caren Groesbeck; and four grandchildren. He is also missed by his brother, Michael "Ike" Vidmar (Sue); nephew Michael M. Vidmar (Sara); niece, Christine Carney (Chad); and cousins: Jim Whitmas, Elizabeth "DeeDee" Vidmar, Bob Workman, Janice Smith and many more extended family and friends.
A Catholic Mass and Military Honors were held in Las Vegas on November 12, 2024.
