My dad shared the beauty of the mountains with me in every season. Watching the stars on a clear night while laying out in the snow. Or hiking back to the creek (pronounced crick) in the fall with leaves crunching under our feet. Teaching us how to shoot while sitting on the back porch, and calling to the echo from the front porch. We were rich in so many ways, from his humor to his compassion and his deep love of family. His memory will only get more valuable to us all as time goes by and we share the stories, the laughter and the tears. We are only made richer by his memory.
