Godfrey Boudreaux Obituary

On Wednesday, January 8th, 2025, Godfrey Raymond Boudreaux, of Lacombe, LA, passed away peacefully at the age of 94. He was an amazing man, who, along with his second wife, Kathy, traveled the U.S. exploring and making lasting memories. They always treasured each other and the fact that they were able to find each other and be married for the last 20 years, even after both losing the love of their lives, they still found happiness. He was a very adventurous man who loved to fly and jump out of planes.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife Katherine Boudreaux; his six amazing children: Marc Boudreaux, Yvette Boudreaux, Michelle Boudreaux, Jeannine Boudreaux, Guy Boudreaux, and Allise Boudreaux Womack (Gary). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren who loved him dearly; and generations of nieces and nephews who adoringly referred to him as "Uncle Woody".

He is predeceased by his loving wife of 52 years, Norma Flippen Boudreaux, who shared his love of travel and adventure. Together they instilled that adventurous passion in their children, along with several nieces and nephews. He is also predeceased by his granddaughter Pamela Nicole Boudreaux, who, along with our mother, welcomed Paw-Paw home.

He is a retired Sargeant Major Special Forces Green Beret with the 20th Special Forces Group (Airborne) 1st Special Forces, Jump Master with Army National Guard Airborne. His commitment to service lasted 40 years. He is also retired from Bell South and AT&T from which he took pride in both jobs.

He also leaves behind two loving stepdaughters, Kathy Mullet (Emile), and Deborah Guelfo, who loved and respected him dearly, and step-grandchildren, and step-great grandchildren.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 12 pm with visitation from 10 am until service time at 12 pm from the chapel of Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy 41, Pearl River, LA 70452.
