Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend Graveside services for Helena J. (Sokolewska) Lange on Tuesday, September 24th at Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm St., Everett at 11:00 A.M.
At 90 years of age, Helena passed away on Tuesday September 17th at the Kaplan Family Center for Living in Chelsea where she had been receiving supportive care for the last several years. She was born and raised in Chelsea where she attended local schools. She was a beloved daughter of the late Anthony and Helen (Stopchuk) Sokolewski. She was a lifelong resident of Chelsea. Helena was married to Marvin Lange and raised her daughter and sons from home. She worked for the Chelsea School Dept. as a school vision tester for many years before taking her retirement.
In her lifetime Helena passionately devoted herself to home and family assuming the role of grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband Marvin L. Lange in 1996 and earlier by her daughter Lydia DeBellis, and sons Marvin Lange and William P. Lange.
Helena is lovingly survived by her cherished grandchildren; Elena Thornton, Philip DeBellis, her adoring great grandchildren, Jovan Thornton, Frankie DeBellis, Brent Barrett, and Grace Neary, and one treasured great-great granddaughter Elise Thornton.
