Hilma Anderson Obituary

Hilma Anette (Betty) Anderson of San Dimas, California entered Eternal Life peacefully on Saturday October 5, 2024 at the age of 78. She was born February 1,1946 in Kingston, Jamaica, W.I. to the late Harry Charles Anderson and Doris Lee Shackleford. She migrated to the U.S. A. in 1978.

Hilma received her Master of Arts Degree in Cross-Cultural Studies in June of 1995 from Fuller Seminary, Pasadena, California. In December of 1995 she received her Master of Divinity Degree, again from Fuller Seminary.

Education was always important to her and in 2004 she graduated from Azusa Pacific University, Azusa, California with a Doctorate in Educational Leadership.

Her two main passions were (1) Evangelization- Bible Study and Scripture Classes, preaching at various churches, active participation in Healing Ministries, numerous trips to Asia and the Middle East to share the message of Salvation won for us by Jesus Christ.

(2) Cooking- Hilma loved to cook and enjoyed introducing others to Jamaican cuisine. She was always about hospitality and making everyone feel welcomed in her home.

She was always willing to help any family or friends in a crisis.

She is survived by her siblings Greta (Ffolkes), Harry, Sonia (Miles), Delano, Wilfred, Roland, Dawn, Winsome, Peter and Phillip, 3 aunts, many nieces and nephews, great nieces, great nephews and her beloved Church family,

Funeral services will be at Todd Memorial Chapel in Pomona, California on Saturday, October 26 at 10:00 a.m.
