Juanita Cummins Obituary
Juanita Cummins, age 69, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center. The family of Juanita would like to thank all the nurses on the Neuro floor and Hospice unit for all of the care and compassion that was shown to Juanita during her time of need.
Juanita was born on July 3, 1954 in Somerset, KY to the late Walter and Hilda Dodson Burdine. She loved to cook, play BINGO, and spend time with her grandkids and her great granddaughter (Coraline Jane Baker) and being around friends and family.
She is survived by three brothers, Wendell (Elizabeth) Burdine of Shopville, KY, Richard (Charity) Burdine of Somerset, KY and Bobby Burdine of Somerset, KY; three sisters, Patty Gossett of Science Hill, KY, Katherine Sears of Louisville, KY and Shirley Caudill of Cold Springs, KY; three children, Rosetta Baker of Somerset, KY, Willard J. Cummins of Somerset, KY and Juanita A. Cummins of Louisville, KY; and three grandchildren, Matthew Baker of Somerset, KY, Christopher (Tiona) Baker of Somerset, KY and Damien (Breanna) Baker of Ferguson, KY; one great granddaughter, Coraline Jane Baker; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by six brothers, Lonnie Burdine, Bethel Burdine, Danny Hill, Dale Hill, Merle Burdine and Walter Jr. Burdine; one sister, Joyce Price; one nephew, Wendell Burdine Jr.; and one niece, Lois Ann Hill.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life Service will follow on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 6:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Bullock officiating.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland in memory of Juanita Cummins.
