June Goltz Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 3 to Jan. 5, 2024.
Waleska - June Marie Goltz passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on December 31, 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimers.

June was born on July 22, 1931 in Pulaski, WI, the sister of nine siblings and the ninth child of the late Casmir Stankiewicz and Martha Revolinski. June was preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Goltz; sisters Elsie (Husband Paul) Markiewicz, Evelyn (Husband William) Foss, Eleanor (Husband Jerry Sr) Meulemans, Irene (Husband Gerald) Gore, Bernice (Husband Roger) Faltynski, and infant Mary; brothers Harry(Wife Elaine) Stankiewicz and Richy Stankiewicz; sister-in-law, Anne Stankiewicz.

She is survived by her younger brother Wayne Stankiewicz; 3 sons and 1 daughter; Richard Lee Goltz (Sandy), James Lee Goltz (Jennifer), John Lee Goltz (Kandi), Vikki Ann Kaiser (Charles) ; 9 grandchildren (8 boys and 1 girl) and 9 great-grandchildren (8 girls and 1 boy).

June grew up during the depression and sadly her mother Martha contracted TB helping a neighbor who had TB. Martha was placed in a sanitarium for seven years. During that time after the family home was burned down June at age 2 went to an orphanage and at age 5 to the convent until age 9 when her mother was officially cured of TB.

Those seven years away from the family did not stop June from becoming a successful President/CEO or General Manager of Depere Credit Union.

June's favorite past time was playing Bridge. She belonged to several clubs and for numerous years played with a group of her old neighborhood ladies on Locust Street in Green Bay. Lets not forget the importance of watching the Green Bay Packers. In June's mid 80's she went to live with her daughter and son-in-law in Waleska, GA and still insisted on watching the Packers.

There will be no funeral at this time, however, an announcement will be made in the future to have a Celebration of Life.
