Yesterday was Mother's Day and my heart had a hole in it because you are not here for me to have seen your smiling face and give a big hug. They say time mends all wounds, but this is not true. I am not at all "mended" from your passing. I accept it only because life and God give me no other choice but to do so. I miss you so much! I will always love you and miss you. The only 'mending' I will ever get is knowing that you are no longer in pain and that we will be reunited again one day.

Mom, today makes one year that I have been without you, my heart is heavy. A year seems like just yesterday and yet a hundred years ago. I know you want me to carry on and not be sad. Today it is impossible for me to be happy. The only shred of hapiness I have today is thinking of something you said or the many things you did that remind me how lucky I am to be your son. I will always love you and miss you more than words could ever express.

Karen was one of the nicest people I have ever known. Always up beat and positive I was lucky to have known her. She will be greatly missed.

My favorite picture of Mom. She was just sitting at peace with herself while enjoying a book.

My deepest sympathies, the first time I met Karen was so much fun especially after all the stories I had heard. My love and sympathy to the family.
